ICE CUBE
Welcome to the Illinois Computing Educators Computer Update Bulletin for Educators (ICE CUBE), the official newsletter of the Illinois Computing Educators. Our newsletter is published four times each year and is always filled with practical and innovative teaching ideas that ICE members have shared for others to use and pass along to their colleagues. One issue each year is devoted to information about our annual ICE Conference and another issue each year is filled with lesson plans that make use of technology resources. Please make a note of the themes for upcoming issue below, and consider sharing your knowledge with others.

This is a great place to learn more about our organization, look back at photos and descriptions of previous events, and read about the many great lesson plans and projects that have been highlighted in past issues. All issues are posted in PDF format for easy viewing and downloading.

The issue above is our annual “Conference Newsletter,” our opportunity to share our excitement about our largest event of the year and the driving force behind our organization. We sincerely hope you’re planning to join us at Pheasant Run during the four-day conference and encourage you to download the ICE 2012 app (search Illinois Computing Educators in the Apple and Android app stores) to keep up with ICE during and after ICE 2012!
At the August, 2011, ICE Governing Board meeting, the ICE leadership team discussed the importance of delivering timely and meaningful content to our members. As times change, it’s appropriate to question prior practices in order to better meet members’ needs and organizational goals. At ICE 2012, we will be asking you to weigh in on your preferences for a variety of newsletter and other communication options. We are excited to use the conference app as one option for gathering your opinions. Findings will be shared with members following the conference.
